Biggest risk

Revenue remains highly uneven: second-quarter service revenue was $25,000, while first-half operating cash use was $14.9 million. Financing strengthened cash but diluted shareholders, and the ATM remained available as of the August filing. New contract values and a NASA follow-on award are unconfirmed. What would change my mind?

The October commercial contract, September Vigoride-7 demonstration and NASA formulation task order show customer and technical progress. Sustained contract conversion and successful 2027 missions could improve confidence. [#PR-2026-10-15] Company ARCSPACE release Company Vigoride-7 release

Commentary

Recent company announcements are constructive, especially the October 15 commercial contract, but its economics are undisclosed. No verified post-announcement price reaction, current analyst revisions, options skew, short-interest measure or sufficiently covered social signal was available; numerical zero fields above denote unavailable data, not measured neutrality. Maintain a cautious monitoring view despite the stronger cash balance.

ARCSPACE contract adds a Vigoride-9 payload
Momentus announced an ARCSPACE hosted-payload contract on October 15 for an autonomous welding demonstration aboard Vigoride-9, projected to launch in 2027. Contract value was not disclosed, so the award does not establish a revenue inflection. [#PR-2026-10-15] Company release

Potential NASA FALCON-Lidar follow-on decision
NASA awarded Momentus a task order for the competitive formulation phase. NASA may subsequently decide whether to award a satellite build-and-flight contract; neither a follow-on award nor its value is established. Test of the 2026 revenue forecast and dilution risk
2026-12-31
Momentus forecast $10 million of 2026 revenue in May, versus $3.24 million recognized in the first half and just $25,000 in the second quarter. The June 30 filing reported $107.6 million of cash, $14.9 million of first-half operating cash use, and subsequent ATM sales; it said up to $58 million remained available under that ATM as of the filing. The August termination of an unused $50 million equity-purchase facility did not terminate the separate ATM. Year-end is a monitoring horizon, not an announced results date. The June 10-Q said Vigoride-8 was planned for 2027 with two NASA payloads. The new ARCSPACE payload is slated for Vigoride-9, also projected for 2027. Launch and mission execution could validate the platform, but timing, economics and further awards remain uncertain. [#10-Q-2026-08-11] [#PR-2026-10-15] SEC 10-Q Company release
