Biggest risk

A Q2 operating loss and negative operating cash flow show that rapid growth has not yet translated into dependable cash generation. The packet does not establish a reliable breadth of post-print analyst revisions.

What would change my mind?

Q2 organic growth and bookings support the raised revenue outlook. Zacks reported adjusted EPS of $0.21 versus $0.13 consensus and revenue of $458.8 million versus $412 million consensus; the SEC-filed company release confirms the reported results, though not those consensus figures. Commentary

The primary-source operating evidence is constructive, but the share-price follow-through is less clear: Zacks reported a 13.7% decline in the month after earnings, while the packet lacks a clean event-window price series. The September 29 anchor is $43.05. Analyst revision breadth, options, short-interest, employee and social measures are unavailable; zero values above denote unavailable data, not neutral readings.

Delivery against raised FY2026 revenue guidance
Kratos raised its FY2026 revenue outlook to $1.75–$1.81 billion after reporting Q2 revenue of $458.8 million and 19.1% organic growth. Delivery against that range is the key test; the date is an assessment horizon, not an announced earnings date. [#8-K-2026-08-04] [#SEC-8K-2026-08-04]

Cash conversion and margin test
2026-12-31
Despite revenue growth, Q2 included a $1.6 million operating loss, $11.0 million of operating cash use and $18.9 million of free-cash-flow use. Continued working-capital, inventory and development spending could delay earnings conversion. [#SEC-8K-2026-08-04]

Long-term Catalysts

Months to a year

Bookings convert into profitable production
2027-06-30
Q2 bookings were $492.2 million, with a 1.1-to-1 book-to-bill ratio; trailing-twelve-month bookings were $1.99 billion at 1.3-to-1. Conversion across defense rocket systems, turbine technologies, microwave products and unmanned systems could sustain growth, but orders are not yet earnings or cash. [#SEC-8K-2026-08-04]
