The $5.69 million provision, continued problem assets and shrinking loans and deposits leave the earnings recovery unproven. No reliable consensus surprise, guidance revision or post-print analyst target change was available in the reviewed evidence. [#PR-2026-10-27] Company-issued release

Q3 pre-tax, pre-provision income reached $4.03 million and the Tier 1 leverage ratio was 11.03%. If credit costs normalize while margin holds, earnings could recover. [#PR-2026-10-27] Company-issued release

Evidence of problem-loan resolution
Nonperforming assets were nearly flat quarter over quarter at $20.68 million despite charge-offs, while the loan-loss allowance rose to 2.36% of loans. A sustained decline in problem assets without another large provision would strengthen the recovery case; the next reporting date is unconfirmed. [#PR-2026-10-27] Company-issued release

Short-term Catalysts

Next few weeks

Credit provision dominates Q3 earnings
2026-10-27
The bank reported a Q3 net loss of $1.10 million, or $0.16 per share, after a $5.69 million loan-loss provision. This is the substantive earnings event; the packet's October 28 date was a scheduled follow-up, not the release date. [#PR-2026-10-27] Company-issued release
Prob 100% • Move -3% • Priced-in 70%

Long-term Catalysts

Months to a year

Margin gains versus balance-sheet contraction
2027-10-29
Q3 net interest margin improved year over year to 3.87%, but net loans and deposits fell 11% and 7%, respectively, year over year. The question is whether the bank can retain the margin benefit while stabilizing balances. [#PR-2026-10-27] Company-issued release
Prob 40% • Move 7% • Priced-in 30%

Risks

Commercial real estate comprised 79% of loans at September 30, including office exposure; collateral revaluations could generate further credit costs. [#PR-2026-10-27] Company-issued release
Deposits declined 2% quarter over quarter and 7% year over year, limiting confidence that margin improvement can translate into durable earnings growth. [#PR-2026-10-27] Company-issued release
Thin trading and the absence of verified analyst revisions or consensus estimates make both price reaction and valuation targets less reliable.
