Second-quarter revenue fell 17% year over year, Content weakness was attributed primarily to new-customer acquisition, and management withdrew remaining 2026 guidance. Savings may not compensate for continued demand erosion. [#SEC-8K-2026-08-05]

What would change my mind?

The structured prior is positive, and reported cost actions could create operating leverage if Content customer acquisition stabilizes. A quantified strategy or renewed guidance would strengthen that case. [#SEC-8K-2026-08-05]

Third-quarter results on November 5
Shutterstock announced that it will report third-quarter results before the market opens on November 5. The key test is whether Content customer acquisition has stabilized after second-quarter Content revenue fell 17% year over year. The August results release withdrew guidance for the rest of 2026, so a renewed outlook would be material. [#PR-EARNINGS-2026-10-12] [#SEC-8K-2026-08-05]

Year-end cost-reduction execution
2026-12-31
Management reported more than $70 million in annualized operating-expense reductions and targeted another $60 million by year-end. Savings must offset revenue pressure to support a durable recovery; the June-period 10-Q is the latest quarterly filing supplied. [#SEC-8K-2026-08-05] [#10-Q-2026-08-07]

Following termination of the proposed merger, management said it was sharpening its strategic focus and capital-allocation options. A quantified plan could improve visibility, but no date or financial targets are established in the supplied evidence; this is a monitoring horizon, not a company-announced deadline.
